Getting to know us
OK, here's the deal. I feel that all the members, and those who should be members by now, should introduce themselves and tell our readers about themselves. This is not to say you should tell us all about how you like long walks on the beach or how you like your steak. Tell us about your gaming experiences, background, your specialties etc. Anyways, here's my offering.
For those of you who haven't noticed, my name's Jeff. I also belong to the Phischkneght forum which is dedicated solely to technology and run by my brother. I live somewhere in Utah, but won't say here where exactly because if you don't already know, you don't need to. As I mentioned in my first post, I cofounded Nexez Games.
I am the die hard Nintendo guy. I grew up rescuing Zelda and stomping Goombas. In fact, the Legend of Zelda series is my forte and I know more about the games than your average player. I've been playing ever since I could properly hold a controller. My brother was, and remains to some small extent, my mentor. He and I are pretty even as far as skill, so sometimes I'm the hotshot upstart and sometimes he's the veteran putting his pupil in his place. At any rate, it's all fun and games.
I haven't been into fantasy/rp gaming for as long as I have video gaming, but that doesn't mean I'm not pretty good. I used to play Yu-Gi-Oh, and although I will sometimes badmouth it, I really have nothing against it. I would still be playing if I hadn't decided long ago that I couldn't afford to play two TCGs. My true fantasy game love is Magic: the Gathering. I tend to be the best among my playgroup, but whenever I compete in a serious tournament, I get schooled.
Whenever I start playing a game, it is always my intention to be the best I can be (regardless of whether or not I'm the best ever).
So there you have it, and I look forward to reading what everyone else has to say.
